The life expectancy of your car depends on your answer. Motor oil gets contaminated by substances like dust, metallic shavings and even antifreeze. And did you know that the additive package, which is part of your fully formulated motor oil, would break down in time and become a contaminant, too?
As contaminants are whipped into the oil, sludge is formed. This sludge will stick to parts of the engine causing the engine to perform less efficiently. Eventually, this sludge can cause engine failure. Neglecting oil changes is
hazardous to your engine's health! Changing your oil every 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first, is generally recommended. However you should follow the recommendations in your owner's manual. Even a car that is not running will get oil contamination as a result of accumulated moisture. If the car isn't run long enough to get rid of the moisture, it becomes damaging. |

Why Change Your Oil Filter? The oil filter's job is to remove oil contaminants. It sifts out the solid particles while allowing the oil to flow unrestricted through the engine. When the oil filter becomes full or "clogged," the oil and contaminants will flow around the filter "by-passing" is a safety mechanism. As far as your engine IS concerned, dirty oil IS better than none at all. However when bypassing occurs, contaminants head straight for the engine where they can eventually cause permanent engine damage. Studies also show that fuel economy and emissions are adversely affected during by-passing. |

Why Change Your Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter? Replacing you automatic transmission filter and fluid at recommended intervals will save you time, money and aggravation. Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) keeps the moving parts of the transmission lubricated so they can run smoothly. The automatic transmission filter protects the moving parts of a transmission by removing harmful metal filings and abrasive particles from the transmission fluid. It keeps the fluid clear and clean so it can cool and lubricate the transmission properly. |

Why Change Your Cabin Air Filter? A cabin filter is a mechanism that keeps the passenger compartment of your car from getting stale and unhealthy.
Although hidden, a cabin filter is an important function. airborne particles, and some are even capable of eliminating odors. That’s welcome news for people with allergies and others concerned about air quality. |

Why Manual Transmission Service? A manual transmission allows the engine to transmit power from the engine to the wheels via a series of gears. Different gears determine the ratios between the engine revolutions and the wheel revolutions. What are the benefits of a Manual Transmission Service?
Extends the life of the
transmission
Minimizes
the
effects of
oxidation
Reduces wear
and spalling (gear flaking)
which causes lower lubrication efficiency Maintains warranty requirements Your manual transmission should be serviced at intervals specified by the manufacturer.
These are generally:
Every 15,000 miles for cars driven under "severe"
conditions such as stop and go mountain driving. Every 30,000 miles for cars driven primarily on the open highway |

Because it is vital that your car's cooling system perform efficiently, the radiator should be serviced regularly. Your car's engine cooling system will operate at the correct temperature and avoid delays, expense and frustration of a radiator boil-over or winter freeze-up.
During the 20-30 minute service:
The cooling system will be checked to
identify
any leaks.
Rust, corrosion and contaminated engine
coolant
will be removed. The cooling system will be refilled with the appropriate ratio of water and anti-freeze coolant to
protect against
freezing, boil-over and corrosion. Radiator cap is also checked.
We recommend that you have the radiator
flushed and filled in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended
service intervals. Generally that is every 12,000
-
24,000 miles or every
12-24 months or as special circumstances require. |

What’s a Differential and Why Service It? The differential allows wheels to turn at different speeds, enabling corner turning with improved traction.
The differential gears are lubricated

Why change your air filtration system? Your engine's air filter captures airborne contaminants, like bugs and dirt, out of the air before they enter your engine. Each gallon of gasoline burned by your engine requires 10,000 gallons of air - that translates into a lot of contaminants being sucked into your air filter Left unchanged, dirty air filters can lead to poor acceleration, lower gas mileage and poor engine performance. We can all breathe cleaner air by having our PCV valves and breather elements changed regularly. The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve and breather element process exhaust fumes to reduce air pollutants. Changing PCV valves and breather elements help the air filtration system do its job effectively. |

Why Change Antifreeze? Antifreeze circulates in a sealed system providing engine cooling, passenger compartment heating, and corrosion
protection to the engine. However,
time, hot and cold cycling, oxidation, and topping-off with water
can render the antifreeze incapable of meeting
these basic performance requirements. The additives are eventually
used up, the freezing and boil-over protection
is diluted, and the glycol itself degraded. Continued use can lead
to overheating, freezing, and engine
failure.
Time & Mileage: Extending the
service life of antifreeze beyond manufacturer recommendations is an
expensive gamble. Recommended service intervals for conventional
green antifreeze range between 2 years /30,000 miles (whichever
comes first), and 3 years / 60,000 miles (whichever comes first).
The recommended service interval for the newer orange-colored
antifreeze is 5 years / |
